“Super professional, friendly and kind… can explain things without being condescending”
Super professional, friendly and kind. It is so refreshing to have someone doing work in the house who can explain things without being condescending.
They also have a very handy online system for bookings and payment, no need to phone up and go backs and forth just to book a quote.
I cannot recommend them enough.
When to Call a Professional Exterminator in Wellington
Getting rid of some pests might seem like a manageable DIY job – a bit of spray here, a trap there – but trust us, theyâre sneakier than they look. Shop bought solutions might slow them down, but they rarely get to the root of the problem. In some cases, going DIY can actually make things worse.
If youâve tried the usual tricks and theyâre still partying in your walls and pantry, itâs time to call in the experts on pest control in Wellington. We know where they hide, how they think, and how to make sure they donât come back.

Seasonal Pest Calendar: What Pests Are Active Right Now?
Pest problems shift with the seasons, but some unwanted guests hang around all year. For pest control in Upper Hutt and throughout the Wellington region, understanding these seasonal patterns helps homeowners prepare for whatâs coming next.
Autumn / Winter Pests
Autumn and winter bring out the Portuguese millipedes in full force, who are drawn to light, swarming into homes and turning up on walls, floors, and even in beds.
Rodents (rats and mice) also get bolder in the cold, sneaking inside for warmth and food, especially if your place has easy access or a few snack crumbs lying around. Cockroaches, spiders, and ants slow down in winter but donât disappear, choosing to stick to warm and sheltered spots indoors instead.
Spring / Summer Pests
Come spring, ants and spiders pick up again, especially around kitchens and window sills. Fleas and carpet beetles can survive indoors year-round, worse if youâve got pets or warm corners they like.
As summer peaks, so do flies and wasps, buzzing, nesting, and generally being pests until late summer/early autumn. This seasonal surge makes pest control in Porirua and beyond particularly challenging during the warmer months when multiple species are active simultaneously.
Borer, bedbugs, and the occasional moth problem can show up from time to time, especially in older homes or shared living. No matter the season, thereâs always something creeping, crawling, or flying. Stay pest-free by contacting Combat Pest Control to suss out whatâs getting in your home and kick them out with successful pest-proofing services.
